The What

The TripDoor allows you to build travel websites about your favorite places and then rewards you with free airline tickets.

The Why

We built it because we love to travel and even more so, we love to talk about it. We think sharing travel stories and learning from other people’s experiences is pretty valuable stuff. On the other hand, it’s often hard to find travel websites about the places we want to go that were built by the people who have already been there. So we thought we’d go ahead and build one ourselves. Then we decided that perhaps other people would like to help us build websites (we like to call them "TripDoors") about their favorite places from all over the world. So we decided to turn it into a company. I mean, what the heck? We had nothing to lose.

The How

We got to work developing a pretty sweet system to build really easy, customized TripDoors on the fly. We made it super simple so anybody can do it. We even gave you the option to build them by yourself, with your friends, or with the whole community.

The Best Part

But at the end of the day, we also just like to get out there and travel. We think you do too. So we spent some time building a travel rewards program that gives you TripDoor points for anything you do on the site. Points you can redeem for free airline tickets. We’re serious about this. If you contribute to the community, we will help you get there faster. It’s attainable and legitimate. You have our word on that one.

The Future

So give it a try and tell us what you think. We can’t promise everything will work perfectly (key word here is “beta”), but we’d love to hear your thoughts, ideas, and even the not-so-good things. Your feedback will help us build a better community for all of us to enjoy.
